Here is the answer:

The toner & Ink at Rhinotek is ISO 9001 Certified which means that they are GUARANTEED to meet or exceed to specs of any OEM.
Additionally, using non OEM WILL NOT and CANNOT void a warranty.
This is why:

The Sherman Clayton Act

It is illegal to require or force the owner of a computer printer to use only the
OEM’s brand supplies. To make this requirement is in violation of the Sherman
and Clayton Antitrust Act.

A classic example
of this issue was brought before the U.S. Supreme Court in 1956, involving IBM vs. the United States. At the time, IBM leased data processing machines to customers with the
requirement that they use only the tabulating cards manufactured by IBM. Their
customers were threatened with termination of their lease if they used cards produced by other manufacturers. As decided by the U.S. Supreme Court, this requirement in IBM’s lease agreement was held to constitute a “tying agreement”, and was found to be in

Are laptop batteries a “Consumable”?

theevillink asked:

The company I work for has a contract to repair computer/laptop/printer equipment. As a part of that contract, we don’t cover items that are considered “Consumables”. That is things like toner cartridges and such. It is our assumption that since most laptop manufactures only limit their warranties on batteries for one year (even though the laptop will have a 2 or 4 year warranty), that batteries are considered consumables. I’m sure as you read this, you may agree. However, I need a statement from a laptop manufacturer, preferably IBM/Lenovo, that indeed batteries are expected to be replaced my End Users on a periodic basis.
What I’m looking for in an answer is NOT your opinion, but an actual statement from a laptop manufacturer. Post a link to their webpage.
